Doogie Howser is a character in the show Doogie Howser M.D.. Although he is only 14 years old, young Doogie is a child doctor. Imagine that! A child! Doctor! He is often depicted on the show prescribing medicine and blindly running after balls that he kicks into traffic.
Doogie Howser survived cancer twice at a very young age, which is apparently all it takes. He has a photographic memory and genius intellect, which is enough for the government to decide to study him as a child prodigy until he turns 18. Doogie is clever enough to graduate highschool at the age of 9, college at the age of 10, and medical school by 14. But how old does he have to get to graduate women, am I right?
While he is busy in his life as a resident surgeon at the hospital, outside Doogie Howser is just another confused teen. He lives at home with his parents and talks out his problems with his best friend Vinnie Delpino, who can’t be a vampire because he is always entering the house without permission. Doogie has a girlfriend on the show named Wanda Plenn for some time, until she leaves after wanting more from him “sexually… a lot more.” This was one of the more crass twists pulled by the writers of the show.
Doogie keeps a diary on his computer because he’s a genius and books light on fire when he touches them.
