Felicity

Felicity is a prime time American drama television series created by JJ Abrams and Matt Reeves in 1998. The show is based around Felicity Porter (Kerri Russell) a young recent high school graduate from Palo Alto California, who follows her high school crush Ben Covington (Scott Speedman) across the country to New York where they both attend the University of New York. In the process of adapting to new surroundings with her college dorm mate Meghan Rotundi (Amanda Foreman) she has meets floor supervisor Noel Crane (Scot Foley). The two for a friendship and eventually a relationship while trying to balance the pressures of work and school. Felicity always befriends a musician named Julie (Amy Jo Johnson) but there relationship becomes complicated when Felicity discovers Julie and Ben form a relationship of their own. Along the way Felicity befriends a new roommate Elena Tyler (Tangi Miller) who has a brief affair with her college professor. Throughout the series Felicity has a very special relationship with a woman named Sally, her pen pal and old friend that is never revealed. During every episode Felicity sits in her room and records her thoughts and feelings about different events in her life onto a tape recorder and sends these recordings to Sally.
The serious ran for four consecutive years until 2002 on the WB television network. The lead actress Keri Russell received a Golden Globe for her performance and the show has been called one of the “100 best shows of all time” by Time magazine.
