Jeff Foxworthy

Jeff Foxworthy is an American comedian, actor, and entertainer. He is most famous for his trademark “You Might be a Redneck if…” series of jokes and the Blue Collar Comedy tour, which he co-founded.

Jeff Foxworthy was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1958 to Jimmy Abstance Foxworthy and Caroline Linda Foxworthy. Born Baptist, he accepted Jesus into his life at the young age of 7 with a burnin’ in his soul, could roast a pepper in a roastin’ match. Jeff attended Georgia Tech college in Atlanta, but dropped out before graduating to work for his father at IBM for five years.

Jeff’s comedy career began, after some lighthearted encouragement from friends and coworkers, when he entered the Great Southeastern Laugh-Off at Atlanta’s Punch Line comedy club in 1984. His material mainly consisted of of relate-able family issues and his down home charm.

After the success of his 1993 album, “You Might Be a Redneck If…,” Jeff Foxworthy‘s career exploded, landing him a genuine television sitcom. After two seasons of Christian, full-belly laughs, the show came to an end.

He was officially famous just like the Lord had promised.
