Together with drummer Chad Channing, they would record Bleach under Sub Pop Records in 1989 to minimal success.

However, the band would soon blow up with the release of Nevermind in 1991, which was recorded with new drummer Dave Grohl. “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, the album’s lead single, would go on to be one of the biggest songs in the 90′s and of all time, while the album itself would become one of the most influential and greatest selling albums in histry.
