Serena Williams

Serena Williams is a professional tennis player, who has been a top competitor in the sport ever since turning pro in 1995 at the age of 14. She has been ranked number one six times by the Women’s Tennis Association. Serena also has 32 major titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, making her have the most titles out of any active professional tennis player.

Serena also has accomplished 17 career Grand Slams in singles and 13 Grand Slams in doubles with her sister Venus Williams. She has won four Olympic gold medals in singles and doubles. Serena not only excels in the world of professional tennis, but she excels in other areas off the court as well.

Serena currently has a clothing deal with Nike worth $40 million and previously had a line with Puma. She has also created her own line of clothing and accessories called ‘Aneres’ which can be purchased on the Home Shopping Network. She has also partnered with a company called HairTech. In 2009, she partnered with the company Tampax on an advertising campaign.

Williams has also appeared in different television and animated shows including, The Simpsons, Higglytown Heroes, My Wife and Kids, ER and more. She also had her own show with her sister Venus that aired on ABC Family. Serena and Venus also ventured into other sport franchises. In 2009, the sisters became part owners of Miami Dolphins. They also wrote their own book and have actively participated in charity work.
