Super Nintendo

The Super Nintendo was released in 1991 and became one of the most popular 16-bit video game consoles during that time. This was the second console to the Nintendo Entertainment System. Masayuki Uermura was the designer of the new system.

It had many new improvements including the graphics that made it one of the best consoles of its time. Super Nintendo was one of the first consoles to have three-dimensional graphics.

Compared to its top competitor, Sega, Nintendo’s new improvements helped them to secure the best selling console of its time. When the console was released, it sold for $199 in the United States. Throughout its time on the market, Super Nintendo sold over 49 million units.

Many people responded well to the games that were available for the Super Nintendo. Some of the most popular games were Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Kart. As time went on, more games were introduced to Super Nintendo.

When companies began producing 32-bit game consoles, Super Nintendo was able to still hold its own in the marketplace. They gained a following all over the world, making it such a success.
