Buffy is a character from the popular television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show was produced, written, and directed by Joss Whedon, the mastermind behind the cult show Firefly and future director of Marvel’s The Avengers in 2012.
Buffy is the latest descendent in a long line of women prophetically chosen to battle forces of evil. As a result she is imbued with superhuman abilities, and a whole lot of spunk!! Buffy is guided by her mentor, Giles, and often brings her friends Xander and Willow along into battle. This is fairly irresponsible as they do not have any super powers.
Aside from all the drama of being a vampire slayer, Buffy also has to deal with all the drama of being a teen. Contrary to popular belief, being a teen is hard because of homework and dances and being cool in school. It’s so hard to be cool in school. Buffy wants to be cool through vampire slaying, but everybody else says she is a dweeb because she is never seen eating pizza while riding a skateboard like Slash from Guns N Roses.
Buffy’s love interest is Angel a brooding vampire with a soul. The two super human contender remain romantically entangled for the first 3 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer until Angel breaks off to have his own TV series. Then Buffy was all “as if” and shredded an electric guitar while wearing a bandanna on her head.
