Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is one of the most well known rappers worldwide.  Since his career began in 1992, Snoop has sold over 30 million albums and is still making music today.  His first album, Doggystyle, was released in 1993, which debuted at number one and went four times platinum.

After disappointing sales in his second album, Tha Doggfather, Snoop decided to leave Death Row Records after a tumultuous relationship and signed with No Limit Records.  Snoop made a few records with them and moved to Interscope Records to record the album R&G: The Masterpiece, which features hits like ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and ‘Signs’.  The album was a huge success, selling nearly two million records.

Snoop has continued to create and collaborate with many other artists from a wide variety of genres.  Snoop Dogg ventured out into other genres and decided to change his name to Snoop Lion, with a focus on reggae music. In 2013, he not only released a new album, but a documentary to go along with it, Reincarnated.

Snoop hasn’t only excelled in the music industry.   He has also ventured into film and television.  He had his own variety show, Dogg After Dark, and reality show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.  Snoop has also had many cameos in different movies and television shows.

It is clear to see that Snoop Dogg has made his impact in the music and entertainment industry, and he isn’t finished yet.  Snoop is an artist that is very diversified and submerges himself into all aspects of entertainment.  For this reason, he has had a magnitude of success with fans all over the world.
