Luke Perry, born Coy Luther Perry III, is an American actor who starred in the television series, Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 – 1995 and from 1998 – 2000.
Perry first began acting in commercials and moved on to daytime soap operas. Perry got his big break when he landed the role of Dylan McKay on the show, Beverly Hills, 90210. During this show, Perry was also cast in a supporting role in the original film version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He left Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1995 to pursue more serious film roles, however, he would return to the show again in 1998.
Other movies Perry starred in were Terminal Bliss (1992), 8 Seconds (1994), Normal Life, Invasion (1997), Riot, The Fifth Element, and the television movie, The Triangle.
Perry has also done guest appearances on multiple television shows such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Johnny Bravo.
Luke Perry starred on Broadway in 2001 in a revival of The Rocky Horror Show and, additionally, he appeared in the 2004 London production of When Harry Met Sally opposite Alyson Hannigan, who played Sally.
Perry has two children named Jack and Sophie.
