Mr. Bucket is a tabletop game published by Milton Bradley in 1992. The game features a plastic motorized bucket that pushes out various colored balls from its mouth. The object of the game is to get as many balls into Mr Bucket before he spits them out of his mouth. After they are spit on the floor you have to use one of the blue, red, green, or yellow shovels that match the ball color being spit out to try and collect. When Mr. Bucket is turned back on players must quickly drop the balls into the bucket, the first player to get all three of their balls in the bucket first wins.
The game was featured in the James Rolfe’s Board James web-series in a comedy horror short, during the episode it was suggested that the game eluded to a sexual innuendo and that children playing the game made the character uncomfortable.
In 2005 the Occupational Therapy Associates claimed that “Mr. Bucket’ was one of the most helpful toys for children’s treatment of sensory problems.
