Puppy surprise was a children’s toy created by Hasbro in the 90s. It was a plush female dog and the surprise was that the she was pregnant and full of puppies! What was most intriguing to mostly young girls was that the mother could either birth three, four, or five puppies.
The mother dog came with a pouch in her belly and children would open the pouch and pull out however many puppies in the litter. There were boy and girl puppies, being established by a pink or blue ribbon tied around their necks. Each puppy looked different from one another while looking somewhat like their mother as well. The commercial also states that 1 in 5 mothers comes with either 4 or 5 puppies.
