Skechers is an American shoe company that is based out of Manhattan Beach, California. It was founded in 1992 by Robert Greenberg and his son Michael, right after Robert left LA Gear. The company began as a skate shoe and boot company, but has since diversified its shoe line to include casual, dress, and sport for men, women, and children.
Skechers maintains its brand popularity by partnering with many celebrity sponsors including singers, actors, television personalities, and athletes. The company has 2 unique footwear categories: Skechers Performance, which includes Skechers GOrun, Skechers GOwalk and Skechers GObionic footwear and a lifestyle division that includes the charity line BOBS from SKECHERS.
Skechers has made over 3,000 styles for men, women, and children and continues to be one of the most popular shoe brands in America.
