Coke Vanilla is a version of Coca-Cola soda that is flavored with vanilla.
Variations of Coke Vanilla date back to the 1940’s when soda fountain workers would add a shot vanilla syrup to people’s drinks. However, it wasn’t until the launch of Cherry Coke and the failure of New Coke that the company decided to market a vanilla flavored version of the soda to the public in 2002.
Through a great deal of marketing upon it’s launch, the drink sold well. But in 2005 ,after lackluster sales, the drink was discontinued in North America and Great Britain.
However, in 2007, after much demand the company re-introduced the drink to the masses starting with the U.S. and later in the U.K. Coke Vanilla is also sold worldwide as well now.
