JTT

JTT is the abbreviation for 90s child star Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Thomas grew to immense popularity due to his “cute” looks and down home charm. As the decade progressed his status changed from kid idol to teen heart throb, and he became the object of many young ladies’ fixations.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas was born “Jonathan Taylor Weiss” on September 8th, 1981 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. His parents were not involved in show business but his uncle, actor/playwright Jeff Weiss, was. His first TV appearance was on the 1990 Brady Bunch spin-off “Bradys” where he played the son of Greg Brady.

JTT’s big break was on the sitcom Home Improvement with Tim Allen. His spunky portrayal of the Taylor family’s middle child, Randy, quickly made him a fan favorite. It was during his time on this show that he was chosen to famously play young Simba in Disney’s “The Lion King.”

After finding success in both television and feature films, Disney decided Thomas was a prime candidate to be their next star. He starred in the live action Disney films “Man of the House” and “Tom and Huck”. He was also picked up for New Line Cinema’s take on the Pinocchio story, “The Adventures of Pinocchio”.

JTT had not been active in his acting career after his role on “Veronica Mars” in 2005. However as of 2013, he regularly appears on the show “Last Man Standing” alongside his former TV father figure, Tim Allen.
