Out of Sight

Out of Sight is a crime-comedy centered around an bank robber, who has just escaped prison, and the U.S Marshal who is out to catch him. The film is directed by Steven Soderbergh and was released in 1998.

Out of Sight sees career bank robber Jack Foley escape a Florida Prison and, in the process, kidnap U.S. Marshal Karen Sisco. After the getaway is complete, Sisco continues to pursue Foley who has just reunited with his old crew.

Looking to for a big job, Foley and his associates plan to rob a shady businessman by the name of Ripley, who has a large stash of diamonds hidden away in Detroit home. However, at the same time, a vicious criminal by the name of Maurice Miller is also looking to nab the diamonds with his crew of thieves.

At the same time Foley and Sisco seem to be falling for one another. Yet, Foley has his suspicions as to whether Sisco is after him for his heart or the arrest.

Out of Sight, despite not making a killing at the box office, was widely loved by critics and audiences. The National Society of Film Critics voted Out of Sight the Best Film of 1998. The film was also voted as one of the sexiest films ever by Entertainment Weekly.
