Ring Pops are a kind of fruit flavored lollipops that are in the shape of a wearable plastic ring. The rings are made of plastic but the ‘jewel’ portion of the ring is the candy.
Ring Pops were invented by Frank Richards in 1979 and his inspiration was from his daughter, who would not stop sucking her thumb.
Colors and flavors vary and have increased in number since 1979. Flavors now include: cotton candy, rainbow, blue raspberry, strawberry, cherry, watermelon, apple, grape, and lime.
