Figure It Out is a children's game show the airs on Nickelodeon. The original series ran from 1997 to 2000 and was hosted by Olympic gold medalist and swimmer, Summer Sanders. Figure It Out revolved around a child with special talent or unique achievement. A panel of four celebrities would try guess the talent. The game would consist of three timed rounds. A panelist would then ask a series of yes or no questions, and any time they mentions a word that is part secret talent's description, the word is announced on the puzzle board (aka Billy the Answer Head). Every round a clue would be provided to assist the panelists. The clue would often be an obscure physical object of sort. For instance if they talent involved a chicken, eggs may be dropped on the panelists head. If the child's talent was not guessed by the the end of a round, they would win a prize which could be anything from a toy to a video game to a pair of sneakers. If the clue remains answered by the third round, the child would usually receive a more lucrative prize or trip. At the end of the show the child would also usually perform or show their secret talent. Figure It Out also featured secret slime words. This is when a member of the studio audience would have the chance to receive a prize if a panelist said a phrase or word unknown to them. Upon saying this word or phrase the panelist would then be slimmed. The show was fairly popular with children and adults during it's run up until it's cancelation 2000. However, the show was revived in 2012 to 2013 with host Jeff Sutphen.
